The 107th issue of MEA Bulletin includes reports on: the first Intersessional Meeting for the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) and preparations for UNCSD; preparations for the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization; and efforts by the Convention on Migratory Species for the adoption of an action plan to ensure the conservation of migratory grassland birds and their habitats in South America.
The guest article, titled “Ethics, Justice and the Convention on Biological Diversity,” was authored by Balakrishna Pisupati and Doris Schroeder.
